The lessons take place at your home. As part of a genuine tailor-made training programme, each course is personalised to meet your needs and level: improve your general French, be comfortable making a phone call or going shopping, deal with your administrative tasks, prepare for a professional interview or an exam...

Hours

Lessons last for a minimum of two consecutive hours. They take place on weekdays, between 10.00 and 20.00, in your home.

Course

If you wish to acquire the basics of general French, we will work together on day-to-day situations: introducing yourself, buying a baguette or a train ticket, making a doctor's appointment, asking the way, ordering in a restaurant...
Here, the emphasis will be put on conversation but we will also practise, for example, how to fill in a form, reply to an invitation, or write an email...
The grammar and vocabulary needed in the various contexts will be studied as you go along. The materials we will use are the ones you meet in your daily life in France: advertising, classified ads, press articles, weather reports, conversations... Please note that French songs, which offer an excellent work base, are also often studied.
If your needs are more specific and/or professional, we will set up a programme according to your objectives: writing a report, presenting a product, writing a CV...
Grammar and phonetics exercises, sometimes given as homework, will strengthen what has been learnt during the session.

Your teacher

A qualified native French teacher and graduate of the Alliance Française, I hold the Diplôme d’Aptitude à l’Enseignement du Français Langue Étrangère (DAEFLE). I teach French as a foreign language exclusively on a one-to-one basis. This personal choice enables me to meet with each student’s requirements and offer an individualized and targeted tuition.
Thanks to my previous experience as a teacher in computer graphics, I have been able to develop the skills necessary for passing on knowledge and designing tools for learning. With a passion for languages, I then chose to turn towards teaching French as a foreign language aiming at a better social and professional integration of my students. After an experience of group classes with ACCORD, AAA and the Centre France Asie in Paris, I opted for individual tuition.
In the world of French teaching, I also lent my voice to several language courses, CD-Roms and video games, recording for Oxford University Press, Cambridge Assessment, HarperCollins, Nelson, Vivendi Universal and Bayard.
